On tightening wooden handled tools
If you’ve had wood handled tools for long, you’ve probably encountered the problem of the heads (the part that does the work) getting loose on the handle. This is generally because the wood dries out and shrinks. There’s a pretty quick fix for this problem. Just set that tool, with the head and part of the handle, down into a bucket of water.
Leave it there at least 8 hours. When you come back to it, everything should have tightened up! Give it a try!
